Warped Tour

So yesterday you all must have missed me because i was at The Vans Warped Tour! let me just give your a little timeline of my day...

I woke up at 7am and Melissa came to pick me up around 9. we then headed over to pick up her boyfriend, Mark, who lives right down the street from me. then we were off. it was going to take us an estimated one and a half hours to get to Northampton, Mass. at first we were making great time, then we hit the traffic just one exit away from were we had to get off. everyone in the traffic was going to the concert so it was pretty amusing because every body was holding sighs up that said things like "honk if you like bacon" or "honk if you love The Offspring" it was funny because people got so bored sitting in their cars that some people were just walking around on the highway. the best part was when Mark had to pee while we were in traffic. he was literally go to piss his pants so we told him to just get out of the car and go into the trees, so he did. i felt bad because as soon as he left we started to move up, but he found the car again. then finally we made a rash move and pulled out of the line of cars and sped through the lane next to all of them. of course the problem was that we had to get back into that line, luckily we found a car full of really hot guys who were nice enough to let us in.

so we finally get into the parking lot and we are heading into the concert area. it was about 1:30! the concert started at 11 and we expected to be there around 11:30, obviously that plan didnt work out too well. anyway the first thing we did was to find out where and when The Offspring was playing then we got some t-shirts and stuff. there were some bands that Mark wanted to hear so went we and watched them. we heard Funeral For A Friend, Sences Fail, and a few others. then later on we got some lunch and listened to Fall Out Boy. at this point we were just kind of standing around because it was like 4 or 5 o'clock and The Offspring didnt go on until like 7. that was ok though we just people watched for a while. people there were crazy because it had rained that morning and there was mud everywhere so some people started mud fights and stuff. gross.

so here is the best part of the night...THE OFFSPRING. they are the whole reason we even went to Warped Tour. the problem is that both Melissa and i are short so we couldnt see much because it was only standing room. but thats ok because they were amazing and i got a great leg workout just standing on my toes :). anyway they were great and i was the happiest person on earth. immediately after they finished we rushed out to the parking lot to get the "upper hand" on everyone. My Chemical Romance was still scheduled to play so we figured a lot of people would stick around, once again we were wrong. getting out of that parking lot was a nightmare. we finally gave up and sat on the roof of the car just watching people. no one moved for hours. we made friends with the guys in the car next to us and one of them found out that they only had one cop directing all those cars. that is unbelievably stupid. finally Mark told us to get in the car because he was getting us out of there. he weaved through people and we got up to the front, and we were finally out. from there it was smooth sailing back to North Haven. we got some food then the night was over.

ok i know that was a really explination of what i did, but i had a really fun time. i wish i had remembered to bring my camera ::slaps self on wrist:: well i best be going.

*oh and by the way James Blake is my hero for playing so well last night!
